Nuevo Mexico's Moreno to Miss Season Wednesday, September 18th , 2052 Pablo Moreno of the Mariachis just might have to call it quits for the season. The 21-year-old Nuevo Mexico starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Westwood Sixshooters recently at Mariachi Band Shell. Moreno suffered a sore shoulder while throwing a pitch. The Mariachis medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4 months. This year in 5 starts, Moreno has recorded 2 wins and absorbed 1 loss. He has pitched 28.1 innings, allowed 22 hits, struck out 31 and has a 3.81 ERA. |
