Smith Gets 4-Game Suspension Thursday, August 29th , 2052 In Tacoma the Fur Traders got the news of Rick Smith's 4-game suspension. The 28-year-old center fielder appeared to make contact with an umpire while arguing balls and strikes during yesterday's game against the Farmers. Smith told reporters that he did not grab anybody. "It is one thing to throw me out of the game for arguing, but that is not enough to kick me out for 4 games." So far this year Smith is batting .214 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
