At Dodos Ballpark today, he made his case to be considered among that group. The 29-year-old shortstop hammered 5 hits in 6 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Hialeah Dodos fell, 12-11, to the Athletic Club KC Reserves. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Reserves manager Félix Jiménez told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Montgomery wasn't the difference." Lee Montgomery singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
