Mora Snags Rookie of Month Trophy Thursday, August 1st , 2052 Ron Mora is living a dream. Not only did he net the United States Silver League's Rookie of the Month Award today, but the 25-year-old has put together a string of starts that has everybody talking all the league. In the month of July the Seattle starter was 3-1 as he put up a 1.12 ERA. He also totaled 25 strikeouts in 32 innings, while holding opponents to a .209 average. Pretty good stats for a rookie. Mora has a 4-3 season record so far. In 10 starts, he has fanned 50 batters in 57 innings with a 2.05 ERA. |
