Ci's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends Wednesday, August 21st , 2052 Xue-liang Ci's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Hawks Field. The 21-year-old South Beach Blaze left fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats in the game against the Laredo Hawks, but South Beach came out the winner, 6-2. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Xue-liang," Blaze manager Vicente RodrÃguez said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." For the year Ci is batting .262 with 27 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 13 times and driven in 12. |
