Jon Anderson Gets MVP Trophy
Tuesday, September 24th , 2052
At the age of 24, Jon Anderson of the Yucca Valley Yellows could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2052 was good enough to win the shortstop the USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .273 batting average this year, as well as a .376 on-base percentage. He played 96 games and racked up 91 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Ed Lewis of the Yucca Valley Yellows finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Emory Mills of the Yucca Valley Yellows finished third.
