SA Outstanding Skipper Award Given to Vásquez Sunday, September 22nd , 2052 Manager Ricardo Vásquez was speaking before a Yucca Valley fan luncheon when word came down that he'd been awarded the USSL Single A Manager of the Year. Vásquez's face turned to surprise as the club's owner made the hasty announcement. "Wow... how lucky can a guy be? Manage a great bunch of guys... have great fans... have a great season... and now this... life don't get any better than this." Yucca Valley fans applauded, recognizing how fortunate they were to have Vásquez at the helm. Both fans and players in attendance toasted their skipper as they truly enjoyed the day. 2052 was an extra-special season for Vásquez as he piloted the Yucca Valley Yellows to a 62-34 record and a second place spot in the Silver A standings. A record good enough to win the 2052 Manager of the Year Award. |
