Peters Cruises to Shutout
Thursday, September 5th , 2052
Jack Peters was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Kingston Mangos on 4 hits.
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Kingston manager Scott Riggs after the 5-0 loss to the Levittown Blue Dragons.
Peters finished with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, Levittown manager Frank Jackson said Peters "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
For the season Peters has logged 7 wins and 1 loss and struck out 54 batters in 63.2 innings while compiling a 2.26 ERA.
