Lewis Tosses 5-0 Shutout
Wednesday, August 7th , 2052
Levittown Blue Dragons hurler Irving Lewis was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Kingston Mangos, shutting them out 5-0 on 2 hits.
"Irving was very aggressive tonight," Levittown manager Frank Jackson said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
Through 9 innings, Lewis tallied 12 strikeouts and allowed 5 walks.
"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Scott Riggs said. "Lewis has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
This year Lewis has recorded a 4-2 mark. In 15 starts he has fanned 125 batters in 96.2 innings with a 3.26 ERA.
