García Goes 5-for-7
Wednesday, July 10th , 2052
Alfredo García put on a hitting clinic today as the Levittown Blue Dragons dumped the Kingston Mangos 4-3 at The Cave at Levittown.
The Levittown shortstop made Kingston defenders earn their pay, lashing Kingston pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," García said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Alfredo García singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
A look at his current stats shows García with a .230 average, 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 49 games.
