McLean Stands Out in Caldwell Shutout Friday, August 23rd , 2052 It wasn't easy but the Caldwell Chiefs made it look that way. Starter B.J. McLean shut out the Pontiac Godfathers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Caldwell Chiefs cruised to victory, 6-0. McLean allowed only 2 hits and rang up 12 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
