Stone Named Top Reliever for PL Monday, November 4th , 2052 When Herman Stone jogged in from the bullpen this season, opposing teams knew they were going to have a tough time putting up runs. The New Orleans Voodoo reliever turned in a dominant campaign and has been named the United States Premier League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2052. His award-winning season saw the bullpen ace get 13 saves in 47 relief appearances, 91 strikeouts in 71.2 innings and only 13 walks. He had a record of 2 wins and 2 losses to go with his 2.39 ERA. "I hope I can pitch like this every year," he said. Terry Lesage of the Oakland Oaks finished second in voting, while Cisco García of the San Mateo Dirty Reds finished third. |
