Macías Goes on Rampage Against Kingfishers
Sunday, September 15th , 2052
The Pittsburgh Kingfishers couldn't stop António Macías today, but they stopped the Baltimore Bullets, 5-4. Macías went 5-for-6 in the game at Pittsburgh Grounds, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score.
"I feel bad for António -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Baltimore manager Brandon Slouck. "The Kingfishers were on their game today."
António Macías hit a two-run home run off Bhu Pahayahay in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Elton Ray in the 9th, singled in the 11th, walked in the 12th and grounded out in the 15th.
Thus far this season Macías is hitting .256 with 13 home runs, 53 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 352 at-bats and has played in 95 games.
