Billy Goats Waste Great Game from Gaufi
|
Alanzo Gaufi did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Colorado Billy Goats from losing, 6-5, to the Seattle Rocketeers at Grazing Hills. Gaufi hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Todd Johnson picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 1. On the season, he is now 4-4. Billy Richardson earned the save, his 5th.
Seattle needed the clutch hitting of Ta-hye Keng to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 4-2. For the game, Keng had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Keng.
The Rocketeers go to 34-51 with the win.
