Shredders Squelch Cattlemen Offense in Shutout Win
Larry Benítez never let the Cattlemen get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Shredders to a win, 3-0. Benítez, now 10-4, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The loss makes Ft. Worth 48-37.

The Shredders benefited from a costly error in the top of the sixth. With Dustin Tate at bat and Hollywood leading 1-0, the Ft. Worth miscue allowed Hollywood to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"Larry is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
