Flamingos Hang 6-5 Loss on Rocketeers

The Las Vegas Flamingos turned back the Seattle Rocketeers, 6-5, at Boeing Dome. Raúl Miranda, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sergio Tacuri picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-5. He struck out 3 in 6.1 innings. The 7th-place Flamingos improved to 37-47.
Miranda made an early impact for Las Vegas when he stroked his 7th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came in the top of the second, put the Flamingos on top, 4-0.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Miranda, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
