In a tight affair between the New Orleans Voodoo and the San Mateo Dirty Reds, pitcher Pedro Cruz was in the zone. The New Orleans left-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. Cruz got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 hit and walked 2 over 6 innings. Cruz allowed no runs. The save went to Amin Yahouse, his 5th this season.

Glen Keetley put New Orleans in front, 3-0, when he took Sylvain Richard downtown. His 2-run home run came with no one out in the top of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
