Las Vegas Flamingos starter Tomás Ramírez pitched a strong game against the Hollywood Shredders at The Strip, leading the Flamingos to victory, 6-3. The Flamingos now have a record of 36-44.

The Flamingos got a big boost from left fielder Lucas Lerwill who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth inning off Shredders hurler Larry Benítez. It was his 21st walk of the season and put Las Vegas on top, 3-2.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ramírez told a Las Vegas Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
