Lakers Take Down Lighthouse, 4-3
Both teams had their chances, but the Echo Park Lakers eventually prevailed.

The Echo Park Lakers took Long Island pitcher Shem Burkholder's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Lighthouse. The final score had Echo Park getting past the Lighthouse, 4-3. Burkholder went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 8. Danny Kas earned the save for Echo Park, his 10th of the year.

Echo Park used the bat of Cecil Hanson to capture the win. The right fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lakers ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

After the game, Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

The win gives the Lakers a record of 23-56.
