Starting pitcher Luke Corner pitched well enough to help the Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 5-3. Pat Martin collected his 16th save.

Tony Hernández contributed to the Ft. Worth win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Corner.
