PL AA Championship Sweep for Mercer Island
It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, that meant the USPL Double A PL AA Championship trophy.

The Screaming Eagles took a 4-2 victory over the Crescent City Krewe at Mercer Island Grounds, winning their 18th championship after taking the series 2-0.

"We've got grit," said Screaming Eagles starting pitcher Francisco Encarnación, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."

The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Premier AA and a 65-38 record.
