3L R Championship Game 1 Victory for Chalmers and Ogallala
|
The 3L R Championship got off to a quiet start today, with the host Ogallala Octopi taking a low-scoring 1-0 win over the Northwest Territory Beavers. Ogallala right-hander Darien Chalmers was marvelous at Nebraska Aquarium. The Octopi now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.
In his 103-pitch effort, Chalmers allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 10.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Robert Acker. "That was the problem."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nebraska Aquarium in Ogallala.
