Gonzáles Ks 14, Hounds Top Centennial in Extra Innings to Tie Series
|
The Hicksville Hounds and the Fort Knox Centennial will take the PL R Championchip to a decisive final game. Facing a must-win situation at Ballpark of Baxter today, the Hounds went into extra innings to beat the hometown Centennial 6-4 and knot the series at 1-1. Hicksville right-hander Domingo Gonzáles threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball.
Gonzáles, the Hicksville right-hander, went 7.1 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. He collected 14 strikeouts.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Gonzáles.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Hound Pound in Hicksville.
