The New Orleans Voodoo topped the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 6-4, at Lang Park. New Orleans center fielder Tom Smythe banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Herman Stone earned the save, his 1st. The Dirty Reds fall to 7-12 and continue their lackluster start in 2052.

New Orleans used a timely hit from Pavlushenka Galanov to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We played hard and won," said Smythe. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
