Cowan Now 6-5 After Subduing Lakers

Ft. Worth got a strong outing from Tony Cowan as the Cattlemen defeated the Echo Park Lakers, 6-0, at The Cattle Pen. The victory gives Ft. Worth a record of 43-27.
Cowan, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Echo Park hitters off-balance, while giving the Cattlemen 7 quality innings. Cowan threw 93 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9.
"I got in a good groove," said Cowan. "I was getting some swings and misses."
