7-4 Shredders Win over Billy Goats Evens Season Record
|
Spirited fans greeted the MSL Colorado Billy Goats for their clash with the MSL Hollywood Shredders.
The MSL Hollywood Shredders saddled the MSL Colorado Billy Goats with a loss at MSL Colorado Ballpark. The final score was 7-4. Soo-keun Yi was 3 for 4, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The MSL Hollywood shortstop scored 2 runs and drove in 1. Claudio Robles, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Billy Goats to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Getting the save was Rizal Culata, his 12th.
With two out in the top of the ninth, António Torres had a game-changing hit. The Shredders center fielder slammed a 2-run single off Dick Verboven, making the score 7-4, MSL Hollywood.
"We take it day by day here," said Torres, "and today was a good one for us."
With the win, MSL Hollywood has a record of 24-24. MSL Colorado falls to 24-24.
