Pandas Drop Rocketeers, 5-4

The MSL Seattle Rocketeers and MSL Montana Pandas provided some drama for the home crowd.
The MSL Montana Pandas beat the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 5-4, at MSL Seattle Ballpark. Bastian Booger, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was Jorge Ortega. His record is now 5-6. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Pandas. Samuel Cunningham earned the save for MSL Montana, his 3rd of the year.
MSL Montana used the bat of Alfred Verhagen to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Pandas ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Verhagen said.
With the win, MSL Montana pushed its record to 25-18.
