Schumacher Brings A-Game, Flamingos Beat Billy Goats
|
MSL Colorado Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring clash between MSL Las Vegas and MSL Colorado, pitcher Tan Schumacher was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned accolades in the 1-0 win. Zi-xing Bing earned the save, his 4th, for the Flamingos.
The Flamingos liked what they saw from Schumacher. The 17-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Billy Goats to no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 4.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" MSL Las Vegas manager Júlio González said.
The Flamingos' win now puts them at 20-13.
