Lighthouse Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Cattlemen
|
The MSL Long Island Lighthouse got a strong performance from pitcher José Alvarado, who stymied the MSL Ft. Worth offense en route to a win, 4-2, at MSL Ft. Worth Ballpark. Roberto Ordóñez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. The win makes MSL Long Island 16-16.
MSL Long Island relied on the hitting of Tom Bolitho to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lighthouse on top, 3-1. For the game, Bolitho had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said MSL Long Island manager Chad Graves.
