Medforth, Hurricanes Too Much for Lakers
Bryan Medforth had a big hand in MSL Cape Coral's 11-4 triumph over MSL Echo Park. He rattled off 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scoring 3 times and knocking in 2 runs. The Hurricanes, now 13-14, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.

With runs few and far between, the Hurricanes had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for MSL Cape Coral came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when designated hitter Charley Willems delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Ryuzaburo Kawano and made the score 2-1, Hurricanes. Willems went 1 for 4.
