Hurricanes Need Extra Frames to Get Past Billy Goats
The MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes weathered a fine game by MSL Colorado designated hitter Juan Garza to upend the Billy Goats, 8-7, at MSL Colorado Ballpark. Garza was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. At 9-8, MSL Cape Coral is in 5th place in the SL MSL.

MSL Cape Coral needed the clutch hitting of Bryan Medforth to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hurricanes on top, 8-7. For the game, Medforth had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Francisco Barrera.
