Shredders Stick Cattlemen with 6-2 Loss
|
The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at The Hollywood Bowl, knocking off the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 6-2. On the mound for Hollywood was right-hander Miguel Pérez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Pérez went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-2. Bobby Taylor closed it out for his 22nd save.
Hollywood took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, António Taváres stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Shredders.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Taváres said.
Hollywood is now 43-23, Ft. Worth 40-26.
