MSL Charleston third baseman Manuel González had a good game, even if his team did not. The Battery dropped a 6-4 decision to MSL Nova Scotia at MSL Charleston Ballpark. González hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. MSL Nova Scotia has an impressive 33-11 record.

MSL Nova Scotia used the clutch hitting of Felipe Ornelas to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Leviathan the lead, 4-3. For the game, Ornelas had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Ornelas told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
