Rainbow Mermaids Lose Late, 4-3
The MSL Charleston Battery did just enough to sneak past the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 4-3, at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark. MSL Charleston pitcher Sean Reynolds, in particular, had a standout performance. The 5th-place Battery lifted their record to 23-19.

MSL Charleston needed the clutch hitting of Ed Glazier to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Battery on top, 4-3. For the game, Glazier had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

After the game, MSL Charleston manager Eric Craft applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
