Multi-HR Game for Tsung in 5-3 Win
|
In the 5-3 MSL St. Louis win over MSL Thunder Bay, the impact of Guan-xiu Tsung was substantial. Tsung hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. John Sanders got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Northern Lions BC to 3 runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. José Rocha was credited with the save for MSL St. Louis, his 4th of the season.
With MSL St. Louis leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Tsung hit a fastball from Alejandro Gutiérrez for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Coeur ahead, 4-1.
Tsung told a MSL St. Louis Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
The Coeur improve their record to 18-20 with the win over MSL Thunder Bay.
