Rainbow Mermaids Reel Off Another Win
|
The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids beat the MSL Santa Catalina Condor, 5-2. MSL Northern Virginia pitcher and Taburi, Philippines, native Sinfronio Tiongson led the way. The save went to Teodor Duba, number 4 for him. MSL Northern Virginia has now won 6 straight, while the Condor have lost 4 in a row.
In the bottom of the third, Santiago Ybarra delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the MSL Northern Virginia third baseman hit a 3-run home run, putting the Rainbow Mermaids in front, 5-2.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Tiongson, "and then get after it again."
