Lighthouse Suffer 5-3 Setback
|
The MSL Seattle Rocketeers topped the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 5-3, in USSL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Long Island Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to MSL Seattle pitcher and Purral, Costa Rica, native Juan Polanco. In 5.2 innings, Polanco surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. MSL Seattle sits at 4-5.
MSL Seattle used the bat of Reinaart Zegers to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Polanco.
