Knights Bump Off Northern Lions BC, 5-3
|
Spirited fans greeted the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC for their clash with the MSL Kingston Township Knights.
MSL Thunder Bay third baseman Augusto Torres had a good game, even if his team did not. The Northern Lions BC dropped a 5-3 decision to MSL Kingston Township at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. Torres went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Gary Côtté, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits.
Juan Leyva helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run triple to give MSL Kingston Township a 2-0 lead.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Leyva told the MSL Kingston Township Observer.
The 'W' lifts MSL Kingston Township's record to 4-8.
