Pandas Win Thriller, 5-4
|
The MSL Hollywood Shredders got a sterling performance from pitcher Egor Wolfson, but the MSL Montana Pandas still prevailed, 5-4. Wolfson threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. MSL Montana pitcher Samuel Cunningham got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rizal Culata got the loss. MSL Montana is now 4-4.
The Pandas were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when second baseman Guo-fang Hsueh turned a full count fastball from Rizal Culata into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the MSL Montana Ballpark denizens and sent the Pandas home with a thrilling 5-4 win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Hsueh said in his postgame press conference.
