Cortés Now 2-0 After Subduing Battery
The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan picked up a win at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Charleston Battery, 6-2. Starting pitcher Dan Cortés played a key role in the triumph. MSL Nova Scotia leads the 3L MSL by 2½ games.

The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Cortés. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Leviathan. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Battery, striking out 8 and scattering 2 hits over 7.2 innings. Cortés is now 2-0 on the season.

"We're all smiles after that win," Cortés told the MSL Nova Scotia Gazette.
