Rocketeers Lose to Lighthouse in Walk Off
|
The MSL Long Island Lighthouse defeated the MSL Seattle Rocketeers, 2-1, in USSL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Long Island Ballpark. MSL Long Island pitcher Luka Bachev had a standout performance. With the win, MSL Long Island is 1-6.
Tanner Charles was the walk-off hero for MSL Long Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lighthouse second baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" MSL Long Island manager Chad Graves said.
