Montana beat Las Vegas on the strength of starter Fernando Ríos's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. Jeffery Meyers earned the save for Montana, his 23rd of the year. The 'W' lifts Montana's record to 41-19.

Ríos was in the zone all game. He frustrated Las Vegas hitters while giving the Pandas 7.1 innings of quality work. Ríos threw 92 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 12 punchouts.
