U-18 Nip Dirty Reds, 4-3

The MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 beat the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds, 4-3, at MSL ACKC Ballpark. The U-18 got a fine performance from shortstop Ni Xú, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. MSL Athletic Club KC reliever Ernesto Bernal was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Ben Bramwell. MSL San Mateo has now lost 4 consecutive games.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with MSL Athletic Club KC trailing 3-1, Xú hit a fastball from Ben Bramwell for a 3-run home run, giving the U-18 the walk-off win.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said MSL San Mateo manager Andrés Ventura. "But we decided not to take it."
