Kingfishers Win at MSL San Mateo, 4-3
|
The MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers picked up a win at MSL San Mateo Ballpark, taking down the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds, 4-3. Starting pitcher Declan Iddon was a big reason why. With this game in the books, MSL Pittsburgh is 27-18, MSL San Mateo 18-27.
Bartolo Costa, the 17-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Costa contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put MSL Pittsburgh up, 4-3.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said MSL San Mateo manager Andrés Ventura. "But we decided not to take it."
