White Walkers Lose to Oaks in Walk Off
|
The MSL Buffalo White Walkers got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Cortéz. Still, it wasn't enough to beat MSL Oakland. The Oaks won the game, 5-4. Cortéz threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Juan Canales picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Jorge Guillén was tagged with the loss. MSL Oakland is 19-22 and MSL Buffalo, with the loss, 20-21.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with MSL Oakland trailing 4-3, Cisco Díaz hit a fastball from Jorge Guillén for a 2-run home run, giving the Oaks the walk-off win.
"The house was rockin'," said Díaz.
