The MSL Greenville 84s got a good effort from starter Guillaume Marie in defeating the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds at MSL San Mateo Ballpark. The final score was 2-1. The save was credited to Elliott Ellis, his 3rd. MSL San Mateo has now lost 7 in a row.
Ramón Romero, the 16-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Romero contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put MSL Greenville up, 2-1.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" MSL Greenville manager Ryan Gross said.
