Walk-Off Seals 20th Victory for Kingfishers
|
The MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers defeated the MSL Greenville 84s, 6-3, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Pittsburgh Ballpark. MSL Pittsburgh pitcher Declan Iddon had a standout performance. MSL Pittsburgh reliever Connor Clow picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Elliott Ellis took the loss. The Kingfishers are now 20-13, while the 84s fall to 16-17.
Chris McNally was the walk-off hero for MSL Pittsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kingfishers first baseman hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," McNally told the MSL Pittsburgh Chronicle.
