Patriots Take Down Oaks, 7-1
|
The MSL Oakland Oaks got a sterling performance from pitcher Diego Salinas, but the MSL Boston Patriots still prevailed, 7-1. Salinas threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Andrés Rocha picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Laroya Libiran was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Patriots improved to 16-15.
MSL Boston used a clutch hit from Michael Paulson to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 5-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"Exciting game to play in," said Paulson. "Getting the win makes it even better."
