Kingfishers Come Up Short at MSL Buffalo, 3-2
The MSL Buffalo White Walkers picked up a win at MSL Buffalo Ballpark, knocking off the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Willie Silva played a key role in the triumph. In 6.1 innings, Silva surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Lasse de Kroon was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the eighth inning when the White Walkers sent 18-year-old right fielder Ramón Díaz to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put MSL Buffalo on top, 3-1.

Silva said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The White Walkers saw their win-loss record go to 13-17. At the same time, the Kingfishers fell to 18-12.
