Dirty Reds Roll Over Oaks, 9-3
|
The MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds topped the MSL Oakland Oaks, 9-3, with catcher Ted Goderie playing a big role. Goderie was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Dirty Reds in the win. The winning pitcher was Jorge Félix. He's now 1-6. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Dirty Reds. MSL San Mateo's record now stands at 14-14, placing them 5th in the PL MSL.
The Dirty Reds got a gift in the bottom of the first inning, when they were leading 2-0. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Mauro López reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs. It made the score 4-0, MSL San Mateo.
